New appointment reflects big growth focus for Century 21
The appointment of Michael Clarke to the newly-created Franchise Development Manager role reflects Century 21’s growth ambitions in New Zealand, says Geoff Barnett, National Manager of Century 21 New Zealand.
“The creation and importance of this role shows just how much Century 21 will be driving growth in the coming years. In simple terms, we are keen to open more franchised offices, carrying the Century 21 branding, around New Zealand,” says Mr Barnett.
He says as an established licenced real estate agent, Michael Clarke has been successfully selling business for the past 11 years. Such experience means he knows firsthand the challenges and opportunities franchise businesses bring.
Michael Clarke says he’s excited to be part of the world’s biggest real estate company – a fact which he believes is a huge strength when establishing start-up offices or rebranding existing real estate agencies. He has a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing.
“Increasingly, what’s appealing to existing and prospective real estate franchise owners is Century 21’s unbeatable international reach and contacts. Its global appeal really sets the Century 21 brand apart from the rest,” says Mr Clarke.
He’s impressed with the significant technology investment Century 21 has undertaken in recent years.
“This investment now provides Century 21 franchisees with cutting edge technology in real time and unlimited tools. This not only maximizes success opportunities for franchise owners and sales staff but provides a superior real estate experience for our clients,” says Mr Clarke.
Century 21 New Zealand has also employed Sara Bickerton as its Franchise Co-ordinator, who will also be based in its Auckland head office.
