Peter and Sonya Jackson are strong on community spirit.

They have lived and worked on the Kapiti Coast for nearly 20 years, and always look locally when hiring employees for their plumbing firm, Peter Jackson Plumbing.

“All our staff are from the local community and we only shop in the community,” says Sonya.

“We also try to give back by supporting local not-for-profit youth organisations such as Youth Quest, Zeal and Kapiti Youth Support.”

At the 2016 New Zealand Plumbing Awards, held on 8 April in Rotorua, the Jacksons received the supreme national Master Plumber of the Year Award.

“It was a massive privilege and also a responsibility for us to represent Master Plumbers and the industry through this award,” says Peter.

“We try to set a standard as a business in our community and to give our best to our customers.”

Peter Jackson Plumbing is a long-standing member of Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ.

This trade organisation supports its member businesses to provide top quality service to consumers.

“Master Plumbers helps you to improve your game, upskill and do well in business,” says Peter.

“They want you to provide your customers with the service they would expect from someone who has spent six years getting qualified.”

The Peter Jackson team of six qualified tradespeople carry out a wide range of services, from plumbing, gasfitting, drainage and roofing to solar water heating system installations.
