Bunnings listens to community defibrillator feedback
Over the past few days there has been much discussion and debate along with some misinformation about defibrillators in
our stores.
Some comments we seek to correct
Units were never confiscated from stores
Comments that were allegedly made during store visits last week were not made
At no time has cost been a consideration in this matter
First Union has never raised this matter for discussion
We sincerely appreciate the constructive feedback from our Customers and Team. This has always been very important to us
and has provided us with the opportunity to review our current approach.
Whilst we undertake this review, which will include consideration of expert information that is available regarding this
matter, we will be working with a respected provider to place units in 5 of our stores, 3 of which will be Dunedin,
Gisborne and Nelson. We will also continue to honour our commitment to donate any existing units to local community
groups.
Whilst we have been criticised for not making comment on this subject earlier, it was important to ensure we were clear
on our position and able to make an honest informed response.
