Network Summary: Pre-Easter storm rolls through Auckland
The pre-Easter storm that blew through the Auckland region last Wednesday night provided a valuable reminder about the importance of tree trimming.
One of the biggest challenges we face is external interference, particularly from vegetation during storms. Trees cause at least a quarter of the faults on the network.
Overgrown trees not only cause outages but they also prevent our crews from repairing equipment quickly and delay the process of restoring power to customers.
