Strong exhibitor showcase for 20th CINZ MEETINGS
MEETINGS 2016 is shaping up to be the most diverse showcase yet of New Zealand’s business events industry.
With only three weeks to go before exhibitor bookings close for MEETINGS 2016, numbers are already higher than this time last year.
CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan says MEETINGS is the largest New Zealand event of its kind and brings together up to 200 venues, suppliers, regional convention bureaux under one roof.
“Each year MEETINGS goes from strength to strength, and now 20 years on that’s reflected in the strong levels of interest we’re getting from exhibitors and from buyers,” says CINZ chief executive Sue Sullivan.
“Our exhibitors are getting ready to put on an exciting show and we can promise new products, innovative and creative thinking, and the latest on event trends. We want everyone who attends MEETINGS to walk away inspired and energised by their experience.”
At MEETINGS 2015 99% of hosted buyers said the event met or exceeded their expectations.
“A lot of key decisions are made and important business relationships established as a result of the face to face connections at MEETINGS,” Sue Sullivan says.
Pre-scheduled appointments allow buyers to meet a choice of 200 exhibitors from 19 regions of New Zealand, all under one roof with 35 appointments across two days.
MEETINGS is also a chance to discover regional New Zealand for 100 hosted buyers from Australia. They are being invited to join one of eight regional familiarisation tours the weekend before MEETINGS, and a hosted Auckland day experience on 14 June.
Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand are bringing influential international buyers and media to MEETINGS from North America, China, India and South East Asia.
More than 300 day buyers are also anticipated over the two days of MEETINGS, as well as 100 New Zealand event organisers who will be hosted in Auckland for two days.
MEETINGS’ appointment scheduling system uses the latest online technology for fast and efficient appointment planning. Buyers can select exhibitors they most want to meet with, making the best use of the time.
Final applications for exhibitor bookings close on 28 March, and hosted buyer applications close on 18 April.
