Meredith Connell Announces New Partner
Meredith Connell is very pleased to welcome Mark Godfrey as the firm’s newest partner.
Mark joined Meredith Connell in 2014 from the Abu Dhabi office of Latham & Watkins, where he was recognised as one of six leading lawyers advising on Public Private Partnership projects in the Middle East by Middle East Economic Digest. Previously he worked for eight years in Allen & Overy’s projects team in London and the Middle East.
Mark has advised extensively on construction, project development and infrastructure transactions on some of the largest and most complex projects across the world. He also has specialist expertise in advising on concession and other risk sharing arrangements, including PPP transactions. Mark has advised clients on projects across a wide range of sectors, including schools, hospitals, roads and light and heavy rail projects.
He has advised clients around the world on approximately $150 billion of construction and other contracts in the last 15 years.
In addition to his undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications he has an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration from King’s College, University of London.
Mark’s appointment brings Meredith Connell to 27 partners and 103 lawyers across its Auckland and Wellington offices.
