Family Feud Starts with a Bang
TV3’s local version of Family Feud, hosted by Dai Henwood, kicked off last night with fantastic ratings – almost tripling the slot average over the past four weeks.
Family Feud also won its timeslot in 18-39, beating Home and Away on TV2 and Millionaire Hot Seat on TV ONE.
The show achieved a 4.6 rating and 21.0 per cent share in 25-54; compared with a previous four week average 1.4 rating and 7.5 per cent share.
Audiences followed the fortunes of the Van der Heyden family from Waimate and the Auckland-based Ngan Woo family in the first episode.
“It’s a great start,” says Group Entertainment Content Director Andrew Szusterman. “We knew it’s a great format and Dai Henwood is the perfect host, but the ratings have absolutely exceeded our expectations.”
