Opus Appoint New GM of Marketing And Communications

Global infrastructure consultancy, Opus International Consultants (Opus) has appointed Katie Mills in the role of General Manager Marketing and Communications.

“We are thrilled to have secured Katie as the lead on our global marketing and communication strategies. Having Katie’s leadership, talent and can-do attitude will be an asset to our team,” says Opus Chief Executive Dr David Prentice.

Katie has worked across a number of industries, including a 15-year tenure with MediaWorks in a number of senior marketing leadership roles, most recently as Head of Brand and Marketing. Katie managed an extensive portfolio of New Zealand’s most-loved media brands, with her recent projects including the successful re-brand of The Edge radio station and the launch of MediaWorks’ news service, Newshub. Her track record speaks for herself as an award-winning marketer, delivering continuous results and driving a team culture second-to-none.

Dr Prentice believes Katie has found a good home in Opus: “Our success is built on our people. We have 3,000 leading infrastructure experts across the world focussed on providing innovative solutions for infrastructure challenges” said Dr Prentice.

“Katie comes to us with a formidable reputation for building strong relationships and driving cultural change. She is a strong creative and strategic thinker and works at pace, which has clearly driven the results she has delivered in former roles,” says Dr Prentice.

Katie joins Opus 7 March.
