Brother Honoured for “Outstanding” Document Imaging Solution

Brother Honoured for “Outstanding” Document Imaging Solution for Business

Brother International Corporation has been acknowledged by a world leading document imaging expert for its Web Connect feature in its multifunction print range.

Brother Web Connect received ‘Outstanding Scan-to-Cloud Solution’ in the Winter 2016 Pick Awards, which recognises the most outstanding performances evaluated by Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI) in the last six months.

Available across a range of Brother multifunction centres in New Zealand, Web Connect allows users to upload documents or photos using a scanner or memory card, or print documents directly from popular online storage sites including Dropbox, Flickr, Google Cloud, OneNote, OneDrive and EverNote.

In 2014 Brother Web Connect was named winner of the BLI ‘Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Award’ for “its impressive breadth of services it connected to”, BLI Director, Office Workflow Solutions Analytics, Jamie Bsales, said.

“This time around, Brother upped the ante by extending the solutions capture capabilities to include OCR processing in the cloud. This enables users to deliver actionable documents to the desired destination.”

‘Pick Award’ winners stand out above the competition in key areas such as value, feature set, ease of use and administration, hardware compatibility, software integration, security and support.

Software solutions undergo an in-depth hands-on review that focuses on key attributes for a solution’s target market and compares how well the product stacks up against leading competitors.

“Usage of cloud storage services in the workplace has become increasingly popular in the last few years. Scanning and document management solutions are a growing trend in business, and we strive to be at the forefront of this.” Brother International (NZ) Limited Chief Operating Officer, Matthew Stroud, said.

“Our Web Connect feature makes it easier than ever before to seamlessly upload hard copy documents to cloud services and quickly share them with partners or colleagues who are offsite – you don’t even need a computer.”

“This feature is useful for everyone from small businesses to large corporates who have an increased desire for mobile access to information, and rely on the cloud to store and share that information,” Stroud said.

Brother are continuously looking at ways they can support Kiwi businesses. Recognising the specific demands on small/medium businesses and how time poor they can be, Brother offers a range of business printers and multifunction centres, which are delivered and installed for free – as well as ongoing Kiwi-based service and support.

“Scanning and document management is another way we can support businesses to function more efficiently. We’re proud that we are being recognised here, and this is just one of the ways we can offer a full solution to New Zealand businesses of all sizes” Stroud said.

Brother printers available in the New Zealand market featuring Web Connect include: MFC9140CDN, MFC9340CDW, MFCJ4620DW, MFCJ480DW, MFCJ5320DW, MFCJ5720DW, MFCJ6520DW, MFCJ6920DW, MFCJ870DW, MFCL2700DW, MFCL2720DW, MFCL2740DW, MFCL8850CDW, MFCL9550CDW.
