Croxley makes New Lynn home
New Lynn’s transformation has caught the eye of
iconic Kiwi company Croxley, which has moved its head office
to the West Auckland suburb.
The stationery supplier, which has been in business for 100 years, recently made the shift from its former home in Avondale to a refurbished office on Astley Ave.
The facility also houses Croxley Recycling, which previously operated an e-waste recycling centre in Avondale and an ink and toner recycling centre in Wairau Valley on the North Shore.
Croxley Chief Executive David Lilburne says the location of the new office played a big part in the company’s decision.
It is only a short walk away from Lynn Mall and the New Lynn transport interchange, including the train station.
“We were looking for a facility that met both the needs of the business and the needs of our staff,” Lilburne says.
“Our new office combines people-friendly design with an ideal location close to amenities.”
Croxley’s move comes amid a boom period for New Lynn, which is earmarked for significant business and residential growth.
“It was important we stayed in West Auckland, which is part of Croxley’s DNA. We are proud to continue to be a part of this great community and to contribute to the local economy,” says Lilburne.
The move is part of a
wider business transformation for Croxley, which recently
closed its manufacturing operation to focus on wholesaling,
and is expanding its education offering to complement its
traditional office supplies business.
