HRV plays key role in Our First Home
Home solutions company HRV will help the three families on TV ONE’s Our First Home add value to their houses by helping to make them warm, dry and healthy.
HRV CEO Bruce Gordon says HRV’s involvement in the home renovation show is all about getting the healthy home message
out to a broad range of New Zealanders.
“Our First Home couldn’t be a better fit for HRV. It’s giving us a great opportunity to put the spotlight on some of the
issues surrounding New Zealand’s housing stock and the importance of living in a healthy home,” he says.
The show, which starts on February 14, follows Gore farmers the Roughans, Tauranga family the Pearces, and the Wottons
from Hamilton and Tauranga, as they compete to secure the highest percentage of profit on the sale of their house and
get a foot up on the Auckland property ladder.
This year the kids are in charge and will lead their parents on the perilous journey of buying and renovating the
properties in West Auckland with the team who takes out top spot winning an additional $100,000 towards their first home
“The contestants are all renovating their homes in order to add value. One of the key ways to do that is by installing
products that ensure the home is kept warm and dry to not only make it cosy in winter but to increase the life span of
their house and to save on maintenance in the long run,” says Gordon.
“We’ve been working hard to expand our range to include products that work together to create a total home solution that
includes everything from HRV ventilation systems through to retro-fit double glazing and an HRV whole home water
“It’s all about working towards our goal of ensuring every New Zealand home is warm, dry and healthy all year round.”
