Thursday, 21 January 2016

New Sales & Marketing Manager at Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park’s new Sales & Marketing Manager is Joel Reichardt.

Mr Reichardt has had nine years in sales and marketing roles at Frucor Beverages including the last three years as a Senior Brand Manager.

Now working at the home of the Auckland Trotting Club in Epsom, he will oversee the sales and marketing team and work alongside Alexandra Park chief executive Dominique Dowding.

“Joel brings strong marketing and sales expertise and experience to our team. His years of working in the FMCG sector means he’s used to adapting to today’s fast-moving marketplace. At Alexandra Park our constant focus remains on maximising new opportunities and new audiences. We have to keep evolving and Joel’s up for the challenge,” says Ms Dowding.

“With our renewed drive to support harness racing, our new urban village under construction, and the fact that the Blues Super 15 rugby training base is now at Alexandra Park are just three reasons why it’s an exciting time for Joel to join us,” she says.

Mr Reichardt says what attracted him to the role was the collective vision of Alexandra Park driven by its long-term business plan to ensure harness racing not only stays in Auckland but grows.

“Alexandra Park’s got a rich 126-year racing history and its future remains the board and management’s absolute priority. I’m so impressed by their commitment and their ongoing willingness to keep changing and improving. They’re also a major landlord and property developer, not to mention their significant function and conference facilities,” he says.

Mr Reichardt says Alexandra Park’s organisational reputation is growing, noting that last year the club won the ‘Excellence in Strategy & Planning’ category at the Westpac Auckland Business Awards 2015 – Central.

“Alexandra Park has a real sense of community, place and purpose which is an absolute inspiration. I relish the opportunity to lead its marketing and sales. For me it will all be about bridging the old with the new and ultimately supporting the club’s vision,” says Joel Reichardt.
