T-shirt competition launched to celebrate 30yrs of sponsoring Young Farmers
This year will be Ravensdown’s 30th year sponsoring the FMG Young Farmer of the Year. To celebrate the farmer owned cooperative is launching a national t-shirt competition.
Greg Campbell, Ravensdown Chief Executive says the key to any long standing sponsorship or business relationship is a mutual respect and interest.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating such a big milestone with Young Farmers. We’ve been right behind them for such a long time because we believe in supporting the next generation of farmers who are the future of our industry.”
Greg says the ‘Thir-tee years’ t-shirt competition is a fun way to celebrate the sponsorship birthday by getting everyone involved, be they a supporter, spectator or contestant.
“Everyone will have the chance to enter a t-shirt design and vote on what final three designs get printed and given away at the grand final.”
Terry Copeland Chief Executive at New Zealand Young Farmers believes it is so rare to have sponsorship deals in place for 30 years and is already thinking of design ideas for his entry.
“As one of the cornerstones of our sponsor family, the t-shirt competition is a great way to mark the phenomenal support and partnership with Ravensdown, we’re looking forward to seeing the winning designs unfold.”
The competition launches on the 1st of January via the Ravensdown website and Facebook page. Voting will run right up till the end of May when the winning designs will be announced, with 300 t-shirts to be given away at the grand final in Timaru in July.
Greg adds “If you’ve ever wanted to design your own t-shirt and see it worn by the general public, this is your chance! There’s plenty in it for the individual designers but also one lucky Young Farmers Club too.”
