TMC Trailers to take centre stage, after securing the Naming rights to Trucking 2016 the largest Truck Show in the South Island
TMC Trailers is one of New Zealand's largest heavy transport engineers that specialises in the manufacture of truck trailers and decks, manufacturing the widest selection of trailers available in Australasia. TMC Trailers was founded in 1948 by Ian Currie, he started the business on his return from serving as an aircraft mechanic in WW2.
TMC's Head Office & Manufacturing facility is located in Hornby, Christchurch where every step of the production process from CAD design, fabrication, abrasive blasting, painting and assembly is performed in house. This fully managed approach to the business ensures that the products are built to the highest standard.
The business remains in the family more than 65 years later and is now run by Ian's son Paul and grandson Richard. “As a locally owned and run Canterbury based business we saw this as an opportunity to show our continued support to this great event and also our customers and the Industry as a whole” said Skippy
“We couldn’t be more delighted that TMC Trailers Ltd have secured the naming rights for the show. Having a local company that is so involved in the industry makes it special. Skippy (Paul) and Richard are well known and respected in the industry so I am sure the transport operators will show their support and buy lots off TMC Trailers.” said Carol McGeady - Show Coordinator.
The TMC Trailer Ltd Trucking 2016 show is shaping up to be the largest trucking event in the South Island with many drivers registering from all around NZ to line up side by side in the shows main event the Show and Shine. Entry in is a gold coin with all the proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House SI and Child Cancer Canterbury.
