Diesel priced at under $1 per litre

Diesel priced at under $1 per litre for the first time in six years

From today, due to falling international oil prices, Gull has priced Diesel at under $1 per litre.

Dave Bodger, Gull New Zealand General Manager noted that Government data revealed that the last time diesel prices were under one dollar per litre was in October 2009 – more than six years ago.

“With the low replacement costs from new product coming into Gull, we now have the ability to pass these savings onto the motorist,” he says.

In general, diesel prices at sites controlled by major oil companies, in neighbourhoods where Gull is not based, are at $1.059 per litre.

Gull prices range from 79.9 cents per litre, at Orakei marina in Auckland (boat access only) up to 99.9 cents per litre.

The average Gull price is 97.3 cents per litre.

Prices noted are applicable to the fifty outlets where Gull sets the retail price.
