Emirates Puts Spotlight on A380 Trans-Tasman Service

“Good Things Come in Threes” as Emirates Puts Spotlight on A380 Trans-Tasman Service

New Zealand, 16 December 2015 – With three daily A380 services across the Tasman, Emirates has put a focus on the flights between Auckland and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane by offering one lucky Australian and one lucky New Zealander the chance to experience the route in Business Class with two friends.

Accessed through the Emirates Facebook page, the “Good Things Come in Threes” competition runs until 21 December 2015, offering the winners a chance to surprise their friends or family members with an Emirates A380 experience across the Tasman.

In New Zealand the competition focuses on the three Australian eastern seaboard cities that Emirates flies to directly from Auckland each day with an A380, and will provide an indication of whether Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane is the most popular amongst Auckland travellers. While in Australia, the competition will tease out what people in each city think is the best thing to see in Auckland.

“It’s about familiarising as many people as possible with our great trans-Tasman services and our consistent value for money proposition that includes full meals and refreshments, more than 2,000 channels of ice inflight entertainment, a generous baggage allowance, and the choice of First, Business and Economy Class,” said Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Vice President for Australasia.

“The modern A380s that we fly on these services remain a natural drawcard on these routes. Passengers particularly enjoy the opportunity to visit our Onboard Lounge in Business and First class. We are confident, too, that given the chance to trial our product on the Tasman, travellers will want to take their next trip on Emirates to Dubai and beyond on our extensive global network of 149 destinations across 80 countries,” concluded Barry Brown.

From Australia, Emirates operates 28 flights per week to New Zealand – daily to Christchurch from Sydney, and daily all-A380 travel to Auckland from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
