Synergy Aviation complete spidertracks fit out at HAC
Edmonton based helicopter operator Synergy Aviation has committed to a further two spidertracks flight tracking devices at the Helicopter Association of Canada conference in Vancouver. The addition of the two new Spider 6s extends the increase in operational efficiency and safety to their entire fleet.
Synergy’s Chief Pilot Todd Tkach says having spidertracks on board his fleet means he knows where his aircraft are and that his pilots are safe no matter where they are.
“Spidertracks gives us an extra layer of safety in our fleet. Knowing that if our people had a problem, we could know about it right away no matter where they are is basic safety management.
“With spidertracks we’ve been able to increase our operational efficiency by better managing our aircraft when they’re operating in remote areas and with the new automatic rate of descent alert we can know if there’s a problem with an aircraft at the same time the pilot knows”
Spidertracks CEO, Dave Blackwell says Mr Tkach's feedback is encouraging and indicative of the market's growing perception of spidertracks in Canada.
"We're excited to be able to provide Synergy Aviation, and a number of similar operators across Canada, the peace of mind and productivity gains that the spidertracks system delivers. It is highly competitive industry they are operating in where every cent must count.”
