Auckland CBD home to newest ‘high-brow’ pharmacy
Auckland – 26 November 2015: City-goers can now pick up their prescription, shop a curated selection of beauty and health brands and get their
eyebrows shaped in one quick visit to the latest high-end pharmacy to open in downtown Auckland.
101 Queen Street opened its doors today (Thursday November 26) to reveal a new Life Pharmacy offering health, wellness
and beauty products and services as part of Green Cross Health’s nationwide rebranding and expansion of its Unichem and
Life Pharmacy retail store network.
“It is about making it simpler for our customers to get the expert health and beauty care, advice and services they
need, when they need it in a location that is convenient for them,” Glenn Mills, Executive Pharmacy Partners said.
“This latest addition to our Queen Street pharmacies line-up will cater to business workers on their lunch break or on
their way home from work, students on their way to and from university and the many visitors browsing the downtown
shops”.
A select number of Life Pharmacy stores, including 101 Queen Street, now offer a Beautique beauty bar providing
customers with instore brow-shaping and make-up services, demonstrating a move to providing beauty-on-the-go services.
Expert beauticians will provide the services at affordable prices including a basic brow shaping for around $20.
The new boutique-style store is positioned adjacent to a number of premium international designer brands and has been
designed to fit seamlessly within the high end shopping precinct that is emerging towards the lower end of Queen Street.
Premium beauty counters from Estée Lauder, Clinique, Lancôme, Jurlique, Dermalogica and Shiseido, sit alongside the
go-to products that customers love and pharmacist services.
Bilingual signage caters to the changing demographic in central Auckland and the growing number of tourists visiting our
shores.
Green Cross Health pharmacies, a network which includes 76 equity stores and 257 licensees occupy New Zealand’s largest
retail footprint. The latest multi-level store is spearheading the rapidly expanding Life Pharmacy network that has
grown over the past year from 38 to 55 stores nationwide. Life Pharmacy has been a leading provider of prestige and
convenience health and beauty products to Kiwi customers since it opened its first store 20 years ago.
