Moa launches MoaMule: Beer on demand with UrbanSherpa
Have you ever wished that your favourite brewery delivered? Now they do with MoaMule, the new service from Moa and UrbanSherpa.
Moa has teamed up with Auckland’s leading on demand delivery service, UrbanSherpa, to deliver you chilled packs of Moa right to your front door, office or party. And the best thing is that they’ll deliver within an hour, 10am - 9pm any day of the week. It’s beer, on demand.
The service is launching initially in the Auckland’s CBD and inner suburbs, with plans to expand to Wellington and Christchurch next year.
The dedicated MoaMule website takes care of orders for Moa’s range of classic and reserve, craft beers and cider:
Moa Original Lager
Moa Session Pale Ale
Moa White Lager
Moa Apple Cider
Moa Southern Alps White IPA
Moa St Joseph’s Belgian Tripel
Moa Imperial Stout
Moa Five Hop English Ale
The launch of the MoaMule service represents Moa’s commitment to working with the best local partners to get Moa Beer to craft beer drinkers when and where they want it.
Geoff Ross, CEO of Moa Brewing says: “It is bloody hard to be the perfect host, and nip down the road at the same time to pick up a few extra refreshments. UrbanSherpa have busy people that come up with solutions for our busy lives. So despite your best attempts to plan and get fully kitted up for those friends who pop round or an office shout — sometimes you just need someone to give you a hand. And do that very quickly. UrbanSherpa can help in all sorts of ways. And now they can help with those vital beer supplies, as we come into summer. It is kind of like a Beer Uber”.
The tie-up with Moa is the latest in a series of partnerships that UrbanSherpa has formed with retailers and brands in Auckland. Since launching in June, the on demand delivery service has grown quickly and now boasts almost 4,000 users and over 30 merchant partners.
They are currently raising investment through the Snowball Effect equity crowdfunding platform to support expansion into Wellington, Christchurch and beyond. Snowball Effect enables everyday Kiwis to invest into fast growing local businesses like UrbanSherpa from as little as $1,000.
UrbanSherpa CEO Brian Dewil says that the partnership with Moa shows that retailers are keen to do whatever they can to improve the level of service they give to customers in today’s online marketplace.
“Today’s shoppers (and drinkers) are increasingly demanding. They want immediate gratification and don’t want to wait. That’s where UrbanSherpa comes in. We help retailers by doing the heavy lifting for them and acting as their on demand delivery workforce. Customers get what they want, when they want it, and merchants avoid the costs of running their own delivery services. It’s a win win situation.”
The next time you’re stuck for after-work drinks, or when your fridge is empty, MoaMule lets you have your next round, within an hour.
