Vector Network summary for week ending 15 November 2015

Last week, Vector launched its first rapid charging stations for electric vehicles at its site in Hobson Street. This adds to the two standard chargers at Vector’s Newmarket HQ in Carlton Gore Road, two standard chargers at the NorthWest shopping mall and two standard chargers at the Britomart car park. Vector has plans to install a total of 35 charging stations in Auckland over the next 12 months – a mixture of rapid chargers and standard chargers.

Electricity

Vector crews attended seven house fires to isolate the electricity supply so fire service personnel could work safely in Otahuhu, Mt Roskill (2), Forrest Hill, Penrose, Royal Oak and Kelston.

Seven car v pole incidents also kept Vector crews busy this week. They occurred in Mangere, Sandspit, Papakura, Manurewa, Browns Bay, Glen Innes, and Takanini.

Gas

Damage was caused to our networks in Manukau, Manly, Otara and Hamilton. Crews were on site quickly to repair the third party damage.
