Today, you can purchase almost anything online. You can purchase a car, a home, groceries etc, there are no limits. And
the best part is that it can be done anywhere in the world, right from your computer or smart phone. It’s that simple.
1Above is one company that is soaring to new heights with their online ordering with a majority of their sales coming
from their well established online store. Recently breaking into the US, with over 60 retailers, including global online
shopping giant, Amazon, 1Above has proven that purchasing online is the way forward for any business wanting to expand
globally.
To get the ball rolling, 1Above partnered initially with ExportX, which is a New Zealand exporter using deep e-commerce
expertise and automated systems to bypass conventional distribution, harnessing the power of the world’s biggest online
marketplaces – including Amazon.com.
CEO of ExportX, Paul Grey explains, “USA e-commerce is growing at 13% year on year, and we’ve already seen 1Above as a
proven success achieving national reach across the USA immediately. The biggest challenge we have now for 1Above and
Amazon, is keeping up with demand.”
Amazon’s sales are increasing year on year, and showing no sign of slowing down. Amazon.com’s B2C e-commerce sales shows
drastic increase from 2004 to 2014. In 2004, the multinational e-commerce company’s net revenue was 6.92 billion US
dollars, jumping to 88.99 billion US dollars in just ten years in 2014.
1Above CEO, Stephen Smith explains, “1Above was the first beverage of its’ kind, and over the past two years we have
seen a drastic shift in sales moving further into the online space to adhere to increased demand from consumers
worldwide. Our partnership with Amazon allows us to reach those who are time poor and may not work regular hours or be
near a kiosk.”
US market research firm eMarketer, says that e-commerce US$3.5 trillion within the next five years, and the internet
will account for 7.3% of global retail sales this year, growing to an astounding 12.4% by 2019. These figures ring true
with 1Above and their online sales currently thriving, Smith believes that key to any business wanting to expand and
reach further cliental, an online store is key. Without an online store to cover where a kiosk may not be able to, it is
harder to gain reach in additional countries and expand globally.
