Canon appoints National Collaboration Manager
22 October 2015: Canon New Zealand today announced that Ben Smythe, formerly Strategic Alliances and Partners Manager, has been appointed to the newly created position of National Collaboration Manager.
Mr Smythe will lead Canon’s nationwide team of visual communications and collaboration specialists with a focus on taking Canon’s extensive range of products to New Zealand businesses and education providers.
Canon Managing Director Kim Conner says Mr Smythe’s experience and knowledge of the industry is what Canon needs to lead the market in the collaboration space.
“With people increasingly working outside of the traditional workplace, it is more important than ever that they can connect seamlessly and have the ability to share information and ideas from wherever they are,” says Ms Conner.
“For more than 10 years Canon has been offering a full suite of video conferencing solutions to New Zealand businesses to help bring their people together. Today collaboration goes beyond only room-to-room video conferencing.
“Canon’s range of products includes unified communications, video conferencing, projectors and network cameras. Our technology, expertise, and partnerships with industry leading businesses like Cisco, Polycom and SMART, means we are in a great position to deliver truly collaborative, dynamic working environments to businesses.
“Canon is continually focused on the future and bringing together people and technology to help deliver better outcomes. I am delighted to be able to promote talent such as Ben within our team,” she says.
