ASB granted a DIMS
licence
ASB has been granted a Discretionary
Investment Management Service (DIMS) licence, effective
October 31, 2015, which enables ASB to continue to provide
its class DIMS, ASB Portfolio Series.
A DIMS is
where a provider makes decisions on buying and selling
financial products on behalf of an investor.
Under
the Financial Markets Conduct Act, a licence is required to
provide DIMS.
ASB General Manager Wealth Jonathan
Beale says ASB has been working closely with the Financial
Markets Authority during the recent licence application
process.
“We are pleased to have been granted the
licence, and support the regulator’s move to achieve
consistency in the wider market,” Mr Beale says.
ASB Portfolio Series is provided to customers through
the ASB Wealth Advisory network.
