THE NEW ZEALAND TRANSPORT FUELS & FLEET MANAGEMENT SUMMIT
On Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd October, the transport fuels industry and the country’s largest fleet owners will be
convening with government and industry associations to discuss the biggest transport fuels and fleet issues in New
Zealand.
Minister Simon Bridges as Minister of Transport and the Minister of Energy and Resources will open the event outlining
the road ahead for fuels and fleet, driving New Zealand’s economic growth. The two-day conference will cover the biggest
issues which directly impact the efficient operation of New Zealand’s fleet including fuel costs, vehicle technology and
driver safety.
Day Two of the event features an international keynote presentation from Ian Wright, Co-founder of Tesla Motors and
Founder and CEO of Wrightspeed who is presenting on the truck propulsion revolution. This is a potential game-changer
which could see New Zealand fleets become increasingly ‘grid powered’ using electricity generated from renewable sources
such as hydro, geothermal and wind. This session is followed by an industry panel who will further discuss the potential
of an ‘electrified’ New Zealand fleet and what needs to happen to make this a reality.
