ACHIEVES HIGHEST BREAKFAST SHARE EVER
PAUL HENRY GROWS THE RADIO LIVE BREAKFAST SLOT 17% NATIONALLY AND THE ROCK RETURNS TO ITS PLACE AS THE NUMBER ONE MUSIC STATION IN THE COUNTRY
MediaWorks Radio is number one in every market and in all key audience demographics** – with two thirds of commercial radio listeners tuning into MediaWorks brands^
In the all-important breakfast demo, MediaWorks’ share is the highest it’s ever been at 50.3%* while NZME have seen a drop at this key time of the day.
The Paul Henry Show has given Radio Live a huge growth of 17%* at breakfast – further cementing its place as NZ’s first truly successful multi-platform offering.
The Rock has returned to its place as the number one music station in country in the key demo 25-44 with 17.1% share* - nearly double that of its nearest competitor.
Mai FM has cemented its place as the number one Hip Hop & R station in NZ and has delivered a listening share* of more than double that of its competitor.
For the second year in a row, MediaWorks has won Auckland with more than 567,300 listeners^ and The Edge continues to have more listeners than any other radio station nationally with 437,500^ listeners.
Nationally, More FM has beaten Hits and has made significant gains in Auckland with 38% growth in numbers of listeners year on year.^
The Breeze is celebrating its highest ever national share with 7.7%* – and is the number one music station in Wellington.*
In its first survey, Magic has had an extraordinary debut where in the Hawkes Bay it went straight to being the number one music station.*
Recent investment in frequencies in Wellington, Waikato and Dunedin has paid off with significant audience increases for George FM and Mai^.
Rounding out an extraordinary survey for all brands, The Sound is number one for all people 40-59*
