Outstanding Contributor Award goes to ‘industry legend’
New Zealand business events industry stalwart, Alison Smith has been recognised for her dedication and commitment with the 2015 CINZ Outstanding Contributor Award.
Alison Smith is Director of Sales, Conference and Incentives, Australia and New Zealand for Millennium and Copthorne Hotels, and a long-term Platinum Board member of CINZ.
CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan presented her with the award at the CINZ Annual Conference gala dinner at Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch last night.
“For more than 25 years Alison has been forging strong industry relationships both here and offshore. She is a legend within our industry, and a passionate leader who has shown ongoing commitment to the business events sector by enthusiastically promoting New Zealand,” Sue Sullivan says.
“Alison has made a very significant contribution in developing the market, and people, and increasing domestic and international delegates arrivals for business events.”
Highlights of the CINZ event included dinner for 120 on the Isaac Theatre Royal’s impressive stage. Continental created and served the three-course menu featuring local Canterbury produce.
The Outstanding Contributor Award was sponsored by David Hall and Hunter’s Wines and presented by Sue Sullivan and Jeremy Adsett from Hunter’s Wines.
