Russell McVeagh partner recognised as a Woman of Influence
Russell McVeagh partner Pip Greenwood has been named as a finalist in the Westpac Women of Influence Awards for 2015.
The Women of Influence programme recognises and celebrates women who make a difference. It is "committed to increasing the visibility of women's leadership in New Zealand."
Pip is a finalist in the Board and Management categories, in recognition of her role as a leader in New Zealand's business community. Throughout her career, Pip has undertaken a number of leadership and decision-making roles. She is a former Chair of the firm and she continues to currently sit on Russell McVeagh's Board of Management and is particularly involved in the firm's ongoing Diversity Project. She is regularly invited to speak at seminars and conferences, is an active mentor to women both at Russell McVeagh and in the wider community, and was recently appointed as a trustee of the newly established Halberg Endowment Fund.
Our firm would like to congratulate Pip on this outstanding achievement! The winners will be announced at an awards dinner on 4 November.
Asia Women in Business Law
Also announced this week are the finalists for the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards. Russell McVeagh is a finalist in three categories, appearing on the shortlist for the New Zealand Law Firm of the Year Award and two Asia-wide firm awards, 'Best Firm for Diversity by a National Firm' and 'Best National Firm for Work-Life Balance'.
These awards celebrate the best initiatives for gender diversity, innovation, pro bono work and talent management, and the results recognise our firm's Diversity Project (begun in 2014) and ongoing commitment to supporting our staff.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Hong Kong on 11 November.
