Māori Television launches App
Māori Television has launched a bilingual mobile App Māori Television Connect to support the growing demand for access to content via smart phones.
Chief Executive Paora Maxwell says the App is a welcomed addition in sharing our content with our audiences where they are and when they want to watch us.
Māori Television has created a multi-content, multi-functional App for smart phones featuring:
• Latest news from the Māori Television newsroom;
• On Demand shows;
• User generated content submission;
• Māori Television channel schedules.
“We have provided users with the ability to sign in and connect via the ‘Māori Television share your News’ function that enables the submission of videos, photos or text directly to Māori Television,” says Mr Maxwell.
App users can set the app to te reo Māori or English language to view programmes and select the news categories of greatest interest.
Māori Television Connect is available for download from both the Apple App store and Google Play.
