NZCU South wins national customer service award
South Island credit union NZCU South was placed first in the recent CRM Contact Centre Awards in the Banking/Financial
sector. They were also placed first for Web/Email Customer Service across all industries. The annual awards recognise
the efforts of contact centre staff from across New Zealand.
For the second year in a row a credit union staff member received an outstanding Customer Service Award. This year it
was Nicola Geary who was acknowledged for her overall attitude, wow factor and professionalism.
With a small Dunedin based team who service the entire South Island the credit union was up against some big players for
first place in the Banking/Financial sector. They came out well ahead of other very well-known larger brands which show
the dedication and commitment of NZCU South to deliver excellent customer service.
NZCU South Chief Executive Tania Dickie was delighted to hear of her team’s win.
“We have an exceptional Customer Service team who are always professional, positive and friendly. Congratulations to
them and Nicola. They’re all very deserving of these awards.” says Ms Dickie

All NZCU South Contact Centre staff undergo considerable training before talking with customers. Additionally, NZCU
South regularly audits the contact centre.
