Microsoft New Zealand announced today that its cloud business is growing at such a rate the company is hiring for 10 new roles across its cloud team to meet the increased demand for its Azure and Dynamics CRM services..
Frazer Scott, Marketing & Operations Director for Microsoft New Zealand says that increased customer demand for Microsoft’s cloud has exceeded all forecasts in recent years, which in itself is evidence of the strength of the company’s competitive cloud offering, and the speed at which customers are harnessing the power of the cloud to transform their businesses.
“Kiwi companies are rapidly embracing the cloud. Whether to better engage with their customers, improve business efficiency or expand their businesses globally. We have transformed our business globally to meet this demand that locally has driven triple digit growth across our cloud businesses year after year,” says Scott.
Scott also highlights Microsoft’s recent positioning as the only vendor to be a leader in all four of Gartner’s Magic Quadrants for Cloud: Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, Server Virtualisation, Enterprise Application Platform as a Service and Public Cloud Storage Services.
“Without doubt, Microsoft is experiencing some of the most exciting times in the history of the business, and we are transforming at a speed that wouldn’t be possible without an aspirational culture where great talent can learn and grow,” says Scott.
“For this reason, we are investing in 10 new critical roles for our cloud team, including cloud and data solution architects and data platform specialist roles for Azure, and a Technology Solution Professionals role responsible for Dynamics CRM.”
The full list of roles available can be viewed at www.microsoft.com/career. Applications can be made via the site, and any further queries on the roles can be directed to Microsoft New Zealand’s HR Manager, Pia Dalum.
Ms Dalum says that while the company may need to fill some technical roles internally and indeed globally, she especially encourages Kiwis from outside the company to apply, saying all employees will enjoy and benefit from Microsoft’s supportive, positive company culture.
“Microsoft has a company culture that focuses on the career development and growth of every individual – and this was recognised this year as we earned accreditation in the Aon Hewitt Best Employers programme.” says Dalum.
“In a culture where change is constant and fast, we believe it is important our people can thrive and feel inspired about the future, to recover from failures, to understand what drives impact and value and feel excited about the possibly in our transformation.
“As we’ve transformed as a company, we’ve encouraged a culture change by introducing a new performance management and reward program, focusing on the impact our people make with their customers – both internal and external – and on having regular, consistent feedback, designed to help people develop and learn,” she says.
“We also have a continued focus on driving diversity and inclusion of age, gender and ethnicity, as well as encouraging flexibility of work in time and space by providing the best working tools and systems for staff to work from anywhere.
“We firmly believe that work should be something you love to do, not just a place you go to every day, and we work hard to make that a reality. If that sounds like the kind of company you would like to work for, please do get it touch and let us know how we can mutually benefit from you joining the company.”
