Fishing Mavens in Good Company at Auckland Boat Show
New Zealand’s newest boutique fishing rod manufacturer, Maven, will exhibit at this year’s Auckland On Water Boat Show
(formerly the Auckland International Boat Show) being held at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour from 24th to 27th September.
The event is the largest on-water boat show offered in New Zealand,
with over 200 marine industry exhibitors attending.
Maven launched its old-school vintage styled fishing rods in late 2014, with its initial Gulf Collection focused on the
hugely popular finesse style of fishing. The rods, with their stylish Scandinavian inspired colour schemes, are
strikingly different to the typically dark coloured designs that dominate the market. They feature a unique pinstripe
along the length of the rod – a feat achieved by high tech New Zealand custom blank designer CTS.
The rods are designed and manufactured in a modern facility just over the Harbour Bridge in Auckland’s Birkenhead. Each
one is carefully hand crafted, custom three-stage paint process and the highest quality componentry.
Maven will showcase its much anticipated Pacific and Tasman ranges for stickbaiting, mechanical jigging and sports-spin
fishing at the show – just in time for the summer season. These ranges focus on surface lure fishing, and use some of
the slimmest, lightest and strongest fishing blanks available.
