Gull Continues to Lead the Way with
Price Drops
Majors playing catch up
Major oil companies have today
followed Gull’s lead with fuel prices decreasing an
average of 2c per litre at some sites.
Gull, the independent energy company, dropped its price for Regular 91 to below $2 per litre earlier last week and is now seeing the majors follow suit.
The latest decrease sees the retail price of 91 octane sitting as low as $2.02 at some outlets, however this is still above the highest price at Gull’s controlled sites.
David Bodger, General Manager at Gull says; “Gull has always been about providing value to Kiwi motorists and we are delighted to be able to offer Regular 91 at under $2 per litre. While today’s decrease will benefit many New Zealanders, it would seem the majors are still struggling to match our lower national pricing.”
The highest price for regular 91 at company priced sites is $1.999 and drops as low as $1.839 at Te Ngae Road in Rotorua.
Diesel is
similarly priced no higher than $1.189 a litre.

Motorists can make further savings by using their Countdown supermarket vouchers at the manned Gull sites.
