NZ finalists showcased in international tech awards

InternetNZ welcomes the announcement by Communications Minister Amy Adams today that six New Zealand companies have been selected as finalists in this year’s World Summit Awards.

These awards, supported by InternetNZ, celebrate the successes of companies who show creativity and innovation within information and communication technologies.

The awards contain 40 projects, across eight categories, and New Zealand has finalists in six of the eight categories. Those finalists are Figure.NZ, ARANZ Medical, Pond, Ngā Tapuwae Gallipoli, Wipster and Attitude Live.

Jordan Carter, Chief Executive of InternetNZ, says the Awards are a valuable global initiative to promote the world’s best online content.

"We at InternetNZ are very proud to support the Awards and to help bring New Zealand's best technology talent to an international arena."

Forty winners – five in each category – are selected globally and they are expected to be announced at the end of September.
