Spark New Zealand partnering with Bluesky to deliver new MVNO to New Zealand
Spark New Zealand has welcomed new Mobile Network Virtual Operator (MVNO) Bluesky to New Zealand, and is proud to be
providing the network and technology enabling the new company to deliver services to New Zealand.
Bluesky is a leading regional telecommunications operator providing mobile, broadband, television, and landline services
across the Pacific, and officially launched its new prepaid-only service in New Zealand yesterday. Bluesky customers
will have the option to top up their mobile online, at a convenience store, or through their church – a unique new
distribution option that provides the participating church with the commission for community projects.

Bluesky is the second operator to offer prepaid MVNO services on the Spark New Zealand network, and Lindsay Cowley,
Spark GM Wholesale, Product and International says that this new partnership highlights Spark New Zealand’s commitment
to the Pacific.

As an MVNO, Bluesky will rely on Spark New Zealand’s high quality network for connections, but maintain its own sales
and service support functions. The Spark mobile network reaches more than 97% of where New Zealanders live, work, and
play. A super fast 4G network is available in more than 130 cities, towns, and other places in New Zealand, all
underpinned by Spark New Zealand’s Optical Transport Network – arguably the largest, most resilient and efficient core
data transport network in the country. Spark New Zealand’s new prepaid MVNO system builds on this solid platform and now
provides even more options for other operators in New Zealand:
