Avaya Announces Jeff Sheard as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand
• 25-year IT leader with a track record of successful growth
• Steps up from role as Enterprise and Government sales leader
Sydney, Australia - July 15, 2015 – Avaya today announced the appointment of Jeff Sheard as Managing Director of the Avaya business across Australia and New Zealand. He replaces Tony Simonsen, who will leave the organisation to pursue other opportunities.
Jeff was most recently the leader for the Enterprise and Government sales segment in ANZ for Avaya. Prior to joining the company, Jeff spent over 25 years in building IT businesses and teams in Australia and across the APAC region. He has held a number of leadership sales and channel positions, notably within the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Group and Cisco Systems. He has a strong track record in helping unified communications and cloud business units generate significant sales growth, while also building and driving high-level channel relationships with systems integrators, value-added resellers and distributors.
