Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale Catalogue Out Now
The catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock’s Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale are due in letterboxes early next week and can be viewed online now.
There are 73 horses catalogued, consisting of broodmares (40), weanlings (6), yearlings (4), two-year-old’s (9), unraced stock (2), racehorses (11) and stallion shares (1).
A range of sires will be on offer at NZB’s Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale with 53 sires represented, including the progeny of leading sires from New Zealand and Australia, Savabeel and Fastnet Rock.
Other prominent sires that are currently to the fore include Choisir, Darci Brahma, Fast ‘n’ Famous, High Chaparral, Iffraaj, Keeper, Lonhro, O’Reilly, Redoute’s Choice, Tavistock, Thorn Park and more.
Covering sires include both proven and young sires such as Cape Blanco, Darci Brahma, Niagara, Postponed, Rock ‘n’ Pop, Showcasing, Swiss Ace and more. The Sale will also see the offering of two mares in foal to Group 1 winners Jakkalberry and Shamexpress who are expecting their first foals on the ground in the upcoming season.
There are three stakes-winning mares in the Sale and a further two mares that have already produced stakes performing progeny.
The catalogue has already received an update with Fastnet Rock filly Bettorock, catalogued in the racehorse section, winning at Rotorua on Wednesday. A further six racehorses have been successful on raceday including two stakes placegetters.
Prior to the commencement of the Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale is the annual Karaka Stallion Parade, commencing at 10am, which was well-received last year with 12 stallions visiting Karaka from some of New Zealand’s leading studs.
