Opportunities aplenty for savvy investors in new NAI Harcourts’ portfolio
NAI Harcourts has released its second Key Assets portfolio for 2015, which includes more than 50 commercial properties and businesses for sale and lease.
General Manager Greg Clarke says the portfolio reflects the robust health of New Zealand’s commercial property market. “While attention is focused on Auckland’s residential market, the continuing strength of the commercial market continues without abatement, somewhat below the radar.
“With interest rates remaining low and some economists suggesting even lower rates are on the horizon, the commercial property market is an obvious choice for many astute investors.”
As NAI Harcourts’ flagship portfolio, Key Assets features a range of the exciting properties being marketed by NAI all over the country.
In Auckland, investors have a chance to buy or lease an Auckland landmark, with the iconic Ponsonby Post Office, at 1 St Marys Rd, on the market. At Putorino in Hawke’s Bay, there’s a chance to own a slice of Kiwiana with the sale of the Waikare Hotel on SH2, the main route between Napier and Gisborne. The main income stream is from the onsite café and accommodation with the bar a bonus. The hotel, which has been operating for more than 50 years, is on the market as a freehold going concern and is a popular stop on the InterCity bus route twice a day.
There are two units for sale on Wellington’s iconic waterfront, just a stone’s throw from Courtenay Pl and right on Waitangi Park at 5/22 Herd St. Investing one or both would be a great way to start building a Wellington portfolio, or stop paying rent for your workplace.
Marlborough has two incredible vineyard properties available for sale either individually or together on Ballochdale Rd, Awatere, inland from Seddon. Ballochdale Estate features a stunning 36ha full producing vineyard comprising 68% pinot noir and 32% sauvignon blanc grapes. Sales consultant Andy Nurse says the grapes from the vineyard are considered among the best in the famous Marlborough wine region.

There is also 1.5ha of residence and garden, featuring a four-bedroom homestead with majestic views of the valley.
