Air New Zealand adds extra flights for rugby final

Air New Zealand has responded to high customer demand for next weekend’s Super Rugby final in Wellington, with additional services to and from Dunedin.

Chief Marketing and Customer Officer Mike Tod says, "As an airline that's ‘Crazy about Rugby’ we're thrilled to be able to help get fans to the big game.

“It can be tricky to provide extra seat capacity at short notice – especially as the game coincides with the already busy start of the school holidays – but this is such a big occasion for fans we have pulled out all the stops to enable more supporters to be part of the action.

“We have seen strong demand for travel from supporters of both teams but demand for services between Dunedin and Wellington has been particularly high. In line with this we've secured an additional 50 seat return service from Dunedin to Wellington on Saturday and an extra 68 seat return service to get supporters home on Sunday.”

The additional services will go on sale tomorrow morning.
