Tractor and Machinery Association elects new President
Mark Hamilton-Manns, New Zealand Sales Manager for John Deere, has been elected President of the Tractor and Machinery Association (TAMA).
Formerly Vice President of the organisation, he takes over from Ian Massicks, New Zealand Kubota Manager for CB Norwood Distributors, who had been President for six years.
Roger Nehoff, General Manager New Zealand Retail for Landpower New Zealand, was elected Vice-President.
Mr Hamilton-Manns studied agronomy, soil science and agricultural machinery while completing a range of degrees at Massey University, including a B.Agr and M. Appl. Sc (Hons). He also holds an MBA from the University of Canterbury.
He had previously worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Monsanto and Combined Rural Traders prior to joining John Deere.
Mr Hamilton-Manns thanked Mr Massicks for his great contribution as President and said he looked forwarded to building on the work Mr Massicks has already done to establish TAMA as the industry organisation for tractor and farm-related machinery.
“TAMA plays an important role as the collective voice of the industry throughout New Zealand,” said Mr Hamilton-Manns.
“My focus will be on continuing the work done by Ian, in establishing TAMA as a sustainable and credible industry organisation, while working to increase our membership base to include all stakeholders in the tractor and machinery industry.
“The industry is in good heart. Our recent AGM was held at National Fieldays and the feedback from industry members was overwhelmingly positive, with significant interest in new tractors and machinery across all sectors of our respective businesses.”
