Tony Veitch Signed to NZME
15 June 2015 – New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) has great pleasure in announcing a long term agreement with Tony Veitch to extend his portfolio as a sports expert and content leader across the group.
Veitch will now not only feature on-air as host of the popular “Veitch on Sport” show (weekends 12-6pm on Newstalk ZB and Radio Sport) but will extend his audience reach and influence across the NZME group by providing sports content across publishing, digital, video and social media platforms.
The social media following of Veitch on Sport is already well established with Veitch’s prolific posts which deliver opinion, interviews and trending sports news having gained over 103,000 Facebook followers to date.
Veitch will work closely with NZME’s sports teams to position NZME as the market leader in sports journalism and coverage in New Zealand.
Tony Veitch says, “I’m absolutely wrapped to partner with a company long term that is spear heading the new digital age for sport and fans alike”.
Dean Buchanan NZME Radio’s Managing Director says, “Having Tony on board and contributing across NZME platforms provides New Zealand’s sporting fans, stars and news makers with more opportunity than ever before to get their sporting fix. We firmly believe that Tony’s knowledge, relatability and sporting passion will attract even bigger audiences through radio, The New Zealand Herald, digital, social media, video and events. We’re thrilled to have him commit long term”.
