SUBWAY® Launches New Kids’ Meal Parents Can Feel Good About
Subway® Restaurants (SUBWAY) is teaming up with Disney.Pixar on the release of the new animated film Inside Out with the launch of a new Pixar-themed SUBWAY KidsPak™ meal.
The new SUBWAY KidsPak™ meal is a nutritionally balanced option that features a mini sub (with a choice of ham, turkey, roast beef or Veggie Delite™), apple slices and a 400ml Pump water.
New Zealand Nutrition Foundation Dietitian Sarah Hanrahan says the new SUBWAY KidsPak™ is a welcome addition and the company is to be commended for providing a wholesome kids’ meal.
“Kiwi families are busier than ever and often choose fast food or takeaway for convenience or just for a break in routine. It is great to see parents now having healthy choices available when on-the-go.” Hanrahan said.
“When it comes to encouraging healthy eating habits, it’s great to provide choice and allow kids to make their own selections. That’s all possible at SUBWAY because it’s all customised and freshly made the way you want it. Kids are able to choose their own mini sub with options for bread, meat and as many different kinds of salad ingredients they like,” Hanrahan said.
“We welcome the ongoing changes SUBWAY has made to ingredients to reduce risk nutrients like sodium and saturated fat to improve the overall quality of their menu.”
For a very limited time only and while stocks last, customers can choose from six collectable and practical Inside Out messenger bags with any SUBWAY KidsPak™ purchase. The SUBWAY KidsPak™ is a permanent menu item offering Kiwi families a nutritious fast food option for their kids, and a “better-for-you” alternative.
SUBWAY KidsPak™ is available in stores from June 8, just ahead of Inside Out hitting New Zealand cinemas on June 25.
