Business survey shows green shoots of confidence
ACC’s National Business Survey indicates a marked trend of improvement in interactions with the business sector over the last 12 months.
In the year ending 30 March, 70 percent of businesses who had contact with ACC within the past 12 months were satisfied that ACC met their needs – up from 59 percent a year ago.
Chief Operating Officer Jim Stabback says the latest survey results provided ACC with a progress report on initiatives being implemented to improve relationships with the business sector.
“Our focus is on putting people first and being more open and transparent in our dealings with our business customers. It’s encouraging to see a significant improvement in business trust and confidence over the last 12 months,” Mr Stabback says.
“However, they also tell us that we have more work to do to meet the needs of businesses particularly the self-employed and small employers. We need to better understand their needs, business and the environment in which they operate.
“We have begun rolling out a range of initiatives to help this group – including a more streamlined invoice process for self-employed customers to enable them to budget and make payments more easily. This is important because reducing the amount of paperwork means customers can focus on their business rather than on doing business with ACC.”
