Yahoo New Zealand launches mobile app featuring latest news, weather, email and entertainment

Auckland, New Zealand, 3 June, 2015 – Yahoo New Zealand has today announced the launch of its mobile app – offering a stunning mobile experience for Kiwis on-the-go.

Bringing the best stories together in a personalised stream, people can be in the know with breaking headline news, push notifications, local news, weather, email and the latest entertainment stories and exclusive lifestyle features – virtually wherever they are, all in one app.

Louis Niven, General Manager Sales at Yahoo New Zealand said: “Every month around 1.6 million Kiwis visit Yahoo New Zealand on desktop, mobile and tablet, and with more than a million accessing via mobile alone, providing great content and a superior mobile experience is more important than ever.”

Available on both iOS and Android, the new app helps people get all the stories that matter most to them. Feeds can be easily personalised by managing and saving story preferences, and if short on time, users now have the ability to save stories to read later. Saved articles also synchronise across devices, so they can be viewed at the user’s leisure.

The new interface allows users to scroll across to see a stream of all the news stories from Yahoo’s front page including News, Weather, Entertainment, Finance, Lifestyle, Travel and Sport. The scroll also features easy access to email and engaging content from Yahoo’s collection of magazines which include Men’s Health, New Idea, marie claire, FAMOUS andBetter Homes and Gardens.
