Moonlight paving the way forward in Manukau
'Moonlight Accounting' is providing a new disruptive service to the accounting and business advisory market in Manukau, Auckland.
Moonlight is utilising the spare and after-hours capacity of accountants employed in the commercial sector and allowing them to contribute to their communities by providing accounting support and advice to local businesses at affordable prices.
Moonlight's managing partner Mitchell Prasad says that this outcome is a win-win for all concerned, providing some extra cash for hardworking accountants while at the same time allowing them to contribute to the development of their local communities and assist local entrepreneurs and start ups who are often restricted by their budget to purchase from expensive and boutique professional services firms.
A moonlight advisor assists in various aspects of accounting, compliance, risk management and commercial due diligence and can provide a lot of guidance and support to start-ups Mitch says.
Moonlight is headquartered in Manukau, Auckland but with its growth aspiratoins is hoping to partner with other accountants to provide services nationwide. Their vision is to create a platform that will bring together local businesses with advisers in their area.
Moonlight is a Xero Certified Adviser and is leveraging the cloud to enable small businesses to go paperless.
