TUANZ takes Digital Journey to its members
Innovation Partnership research shows that businesses that make effective use of the Internet are 73% more productive
than businesses not online. The New Zealand economy could add $34 billion if businesses made more effective use of the
Internet.
That’s why it’s so important that Innovation Partnership member TUANZ (the Telecommunications Users Association NZ) has
launched its own Digital Journey, an online assessment tool that help businesses increase productivity and efficiency through better use of internet
technology.
The latest version of Digital Journey allows organisations to set up the tool under their own brand, and provide it
directly to their members. The assessment questions and advice can also be tailored to suit particular audiences.
At the end of the assessment a personalised Action Plan is prepared to explain how the business can use the Internet and
online services within their business.
Gilbert’s Fine Foods in Dunedin, one of the first businesses to complete Digital Journey, has grown its staff by 23% in
the year since completing the assessment and undertaking the action plan. Check out these videos of Kevin Gilbert, owner

Digital Journey is provided by the Digital Office, a not-for-profit organisation which helps businesses and communities
maximise their online use.
Digital Journey has also been supported by a number of Innovation Partnership members, including Google; Chorus; the
Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment; InternetNZ; and Xero.
