Toyota Announces Executive Changes

Spencer Morris has been appointed the General Manager of Product Planning, adding to his existing role as General Manager of Customer Services at Toyota New Zealand.

Mr. Morris is taking over responsibility for Product Planning from Neeraj Lala, who is moving to Toyota USA’s head office on secondment from Toyota New Zealand.

Mr. Morris joined Toyota as a product engineer in 1984, rising to Manager of the Engineering Department when Toyota had a local assembly operation. Subsequently Mr. Morris has gathered a broad range of experience in his 31 year career with the company.

During that time he has also gained management experience across a diverse range of areas including; corporate planning, new vehicle operations, product planning, and after sales.

Toyota’s Public Relations team will be supported by John Coker of Auckland based Wright Communications. He is a former journalist who has more than 20 years experience in contract media relations in the motor industry.
