New president for Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation
Glenn Coldham, National Customs Manager at DHL Global Forwarding, has been elected president of the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation of New Zealand (CBAFF).
Mr Coldham takes over from previous president Trevor Duxfield, Manager at Advanced Customs Services.
Mr Coldham has a Bachelor of Business in Operations Management and has worked in the industry since 1982. He began his career with NZ Customs and has worked for four international freight companies. He has been with DHL Global Forwarding for 14 years.
He spent 15 years on the CBAFF National Council and was elected president after a three year sabbatical to implement a major work project.
Mr Coldham said he was looking forward to building on CBAFF’s relationships with government agencies and working towards common goals and strategies with benefits for all New Zealanders.
“I am looking forward to lobbying for the good of the Forwarding Industry including input on proposed changes to the Customs & Excise Act Review and other legislation affected.”
“Our focus is on ensuring fairness and equity for all customs brokers and freight forwarder businesses of all sizes, and supporting government to balance risk and compliance requirements with facilitating legitimate trade.”
