Haier to Launch New Air Conditioning/Heat Pump Range

Haier to Launch New Air Conditioning/Heat Pump Range in New Zealand

Haier New Zealand is expanding its portfolio of products this year with the addition of a range of heat pumps which will be followed closely by a series of commercial and industrial products to bring a comprehensive air conditioning solution to the HVAC market.

Haier has the ability to produce over 19 million air conditioning units each year, and engineers and industrial designers at the company’s specialist research and development centre work to ensure Haier air conditioners have the features, performance and ease of installation that customers demand.

Haier’s heat pumps include three ranges of Hi-Wall Split System models. The Classic Series will be distributed by Smiths City in New Zealand and offers value for money. The Premier and Elite Series will be available through specialist dealers and deliver great energy efficiency and performance at lower temperatures, down to -15C. The Elite series will appeal to customers in dryer climates offering a unique ‘Nano Aqua’ technology, designed to reduce dryness in the atmosphere.

“We’re excited to offer a complete air conditioning solution for our trade partners with extensive feature benefits to cater to different customer needs and an established support network to back it up,” says Air Conditioning National Sales Manager for the Haier brand, Tony Hirst.

Haier’s full range of air conditioning products is intended to be rolled out in the New Zealand market over the next three years, including Hi-Wall Split Systems, medium and high-static ducted, multi-head (Super Match), Variable Refrigerant Volume systems (MRV), and chillers. The commercial and industrial product ranges will be available through specialist air conditioning dealers.

As part of the Fisher & Paykel ‘family’ of brands, Haier has access to Fisher & Paykel’s dedicated 24/7 Customer Care team, sales desk, service technicians, and established warehousing and logistics.

“Integration of logistics, sales support and Customer Care across our brands means Haier can offer a comprehensive end-to-end solution that enables both our trade partners and consumers to always deal directly with the company,” says Mr Hirst.

“Fisher & Paykel has an established business structure and processes that have been developed over 80 years of successful business operations in New Zealand. This combined with Haier’s commitment to R&D and innovation results in the experience and capability to support air conditioning trade partners and their customers.”

The Haier heat pumps to be released later this year will be backed by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 5 years. Trade partners interested in this range can contact Tony Ward, Air Conditioning Business Development Manager for the Haier brand on +64 21 523 785 for further information.

Haier’s air conditioners and heat pumps will be backed by the multi-million dollar ‘Everyday’ brand campaign across TV, print and digital media.

Haier is the number one brand of major appliances in the world with 10.4% retail volume share based on 2014 data.*
