The Chair of the Board of Trustees of Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision, Jane Kominik, has today announced the appointment of Rebecca Elvy as Chief Executive of Ngā Taonga.
“On behalf of the Board, I am very pleased to appoint Rebecca Elvy to this important role, which will provide leadership to New Zealand’s national audio-visual archive,” Jane Kominik said.
Rebecca Elvy has been Acting Chief Executive since 2 March 2015 having been seconded from the Ministry of Education.
She combines senior leadership experience with postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration and Strategic studies, (Massey University and Victoria University) and has studied Organisation Development at Columbia University. "Her experience working closely and effectively with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders will serve Ngā Taonga well, " Ms Kominik said.
Ms Elvy has been appointed for a five year term from 1 May 2015.
