Pharmaco well placed for continued expansion

Entering new business sectors, two acquisitions, new contracts and a growing business in Australia has meant the need to
enlarge Pharmaco (NZ) Limited’s Mount Wellington head office, Auckland, which was officially opened today by Associate
Minister of Health, Peter Dunne.
Pharmaco’s healthcare sales, marketing and distribution business has expanded in the last three years.
In 2012, it was awarded the role of sole supplier of diabetes blood glucose testing meters and strips in New Zealand and
last year it acquired Frontier Medical, a leader in the sales and distribution of emergency medical care and equipment
to the ambulance, fire, police and the Defence Forces.
In 2013, Pharmaco also acquired the CareSens business in Australia, the same manufacturer of blood glucose meters and
strips now supplied in New Zealand. It also now supplies and distributes Insujet in Australia, an innovative needle free
insulin administration technology.
Chandra Selvadurai said the enlarged head office reflects strong growth in the business and ambitious plans for the
future:

Pharmaco has led the way in giving New Zealanders access to world leading health products since 1967. It currently
represents over twenty international pharmaceutical and medical technology companies from around the world and manages
the sales, marketing and distribution for over 2500 products.
